Additional Hours Require:
The “additional hours course” is designed for students or candidates who have failed State Board exam at least three times or have an expired license. This requires a minimum of 20 hours of additional instruction as required by the North Carolina Board of Cosmetic Art of Examiner. Training will be completed within a one week calendar period.
- Focus on areas on which the student may need improvement.
- This class includes but not limited to the following lesson plan:
- Sanitation
- Theory
- Board Regulations
- Shop operations
- Infection control standards
- Prohibited practices
- Penalties for rule violations
- Inspection grading

- Address Student lacking abilities and developed student’s need in the following areas
- Hand washing procedure
- Blood exposure procedures
- Selfcut
- Client
- Infection control procedures beginning and end of day
- Three strand overbraid and underbraid procedure with infection control
- Natural Hair Care Techniques
- Teaching and Leadership
- Salon Management
Note: Additional Hours course are offered during the trimester schedule programs for the Natural Hair Care Stylist Program. Students in need of these hours must contact Administration Office to setup their class schedule.
TUITION AND FEES:
Tuition and Fees are approximate due to Natural Hair Care additional hours require classes and students are charge on a minimum of 8 hours rate per day for 5 days enrollment. B-ty Institute repeat students will have the first 40 hours of class free. However if such student fails the North Carolina Board of Cosmetic Art of examiner, the student will be charged for any additional hours.
